Shangri-La Event

As many of you may have seen on my Instagram story - on Thursday night I went to an event at the Shangri-La hotel inToronto. I was invited by a co-worker of mine.
She wasn’t embarrassed to take me, no. haha!
The event was a client appreciation / Chinese New Year party. (HAPPY NEW YEAR to anyone who celebrates Chinese New Year! 2018 is the year of the Dog!) I’ve been to the Shangri-La hotel a few times before, when I worked for Candice and Alison we did multiple events there, so it was no surprise to me that the staff there is amazing. The moment you get to the parking lot you have multiple employees greeting you and opening doors for you. When we arrived to the hotel and got to the 3rd floor - we received a name tag
When I saw the décor I was amazed, I loved it so much I felt like it had a Great Gadsby / Tropical vibe to it - if that makes any sense to you. ahah! Here are some pics of the decor leave me a comment and tell me if I'm right about my Gadsby/Tropical vibes I was feeling...
OKAY - LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD, they had stations in all 3 corners of the banquet. I didn’t have much of the seafood even though I love seafood – but of course I had the dessert and antipasto bar. The food was just as amazing as the décor.
Also, I'm extremely awkward whenever I try to get pictures of myself in public and I know people are watching or........... maybe no one at all is but I still get extremely awkward. hahahah!
Overall the event was amazing, and I also met some great people. I do have another event in the upcoming week, I will definitely blog about it at some point.
I think for next week, probably Monday - Tuesday I'll put up a new post for beauty because I did take a poll on Instagram and the votes were pretty even - I think it was 49% fashion and 51% beauty. A lot of you actually took my poll too, thank you!
